VT: SportsPortFor traveling teams and coaches
When the host only takes paper.
A tournament does not have to partner with us to check a SportsPort: any phone camera opens the check, with no app or account. But a director who has never heard of us often still asks for paper. Here is the paper.
One check-in sheet for the whole team
One printed page for the check-in table: every athlete on the roster, each with a code the director scans to see whether they are eligible, live. Print it with an event's age rule and each athlete's answer under that rule is on the page too.
Make the sheet
Name the team and you get two links: one for you to manage the sheet, and a join link for the families.
Families add their athlete
Each family opens the join link and adds their own athlete with their athlete code and email. You never handle either, and nobody is added without their family agreeing.
Print it
Pick the event's age cutoff and division, or the host's guest event code, and print. Up to 40 athletes on a sheet.
What the sheet shows, and what it never does
Each athlete's name, SportsPort ID, age on the event's cutoff date and whether their SportsPort is active. Never a date of birth, a school, a document or a photo. Families can take their athlete off the sheet at any time.
One athlete instead of the team?
Any family can print a tournament letter for their own athlete from their check-in card page: the same answer, for one player.
Ask the host to try it before you arrive
Send the tournament director to Leagues & tournaments. If they would like their own age rule and logo on the check for their event, we set up a free guest event code for it.
